Nice wide open field to picnic and run around. Clean and enclosed playground for the kids. Very dog friendly. Two different hiking routes to explore, one of which leads to an expansive view over San Mateo and the Bay. It's a moderate hike though, so be prepared. There's some for everyone here!

Had a wonderful walk through the hills. Main park seemed pretty crowded but the hills were plenty open and had a wonderful array of native and foreign plants and grass. Was a pleasurable day out

We just did a moderate all uphill or downhill Class 1 / Class 2 short hike up to the top of Sugarloaf Hill in Laurel Wood Park.nnThe whole trail is a wide dirt road that is well maintained and has a fair amount of traffic.nnThe park is a mix of open hills and woody trails around the base of the hills.nnBe advised THERE ARE TICKS on this trail, so check yourself and your pets / belongings before getting back into your car.

Popular, lots of fàmilies with children. Parking is limited, mostly street parking. Good views if you hike the hills. Park area is at entry level, and flat.
