Fun and new holiday experience. But the rink is fairly small so no room for regular skaters to do any tricks. No bags or purses are allowed on the rink so you have to buy a locker. The skates they provide are very much used and have a smell.
Really beautiful with the lit Christmas tree. It was raining though when I had went with my family. We still ice skated and had fun. I did fall for the very first time lol ud83eudd23ud83dude14 only because there was a puddle in the middle of the rink and I've been ice skating since I was 7. I'm 31 now. Not long after, some guy fell and bashed his head on the Ice rink and started bleeding all over the ice rink. They had to take him off the rink and bring him to the back to stitch him up. Then 30 minutes later, this girl fell backwards and hit the back of her head on the ice rink. So my advice to anyone wanting to Ice skate. PLEASE DO NOT SKATE WHILE IT'S RAINING! Other than it's a beautiful location and a perfect place to take your family and friends if you like to ice skate. ud83eudd70
Moonlight is so cool! I went on a Tuesday night when they have a live organist. It was so much fun and not too busy. Bonus points for the older guys skating around giving tips to the new skaters (i.e. me)
The experience of skating in Union Square was great. Unfortunately the skates were not in good shape. I understand thousand of people use them but many other rinks maintain them better.
Out of most Roller Rinks, this is my favorite. The floor is great, crowd is great, it's a safe space, and I enjoy how each night caters to a different crowd. One thing I do not enjoy is the repetitive music and the constant increase in price for admission, rental, and the food.
