me and my wife were on holiday in San Francisco in November 2018nI really wish we would have had more time here to have done more thingsnthis is a place were you need a full battery in your cameranthere are lots of things to see and places to visit like booking a trip over to the Rock Alcatraznyou get a boat from pier 33 me and my wife booked the trip online before the start of our holiday .nthere is a ticket booth on pier 33 and there is a cafe & gift shop there as wellnme and my wife sat outside back of the cafe having a coffee watching the people in line getting onto the boat to take them over to AlcatraznI know when we were there in November the Alcatraz trip had been closed for a number of daysnbecause of a fire miles away but there was smoke coming over into San Francisconthe boats were still going out so you could still see Alcatraz from the boat and then going out to the golden gate bridge . but on the 21st they re opened Alcatraz for the trips over that was the day me and my wife got to see inside Alcatraz and it was on my 60th birthday.nand a place you need to visit is pier 39 this is were if you walk down the left hand side of the pier you will see all the sea lions.nwe both just sat down watching them all . the pier as lots of places to call into for a meal and a drinknand there are lots of gift shops .nme and my wife were stopping in a hotel not far from pier 39nI had been looking online for some time at home here in England for some places to call for a meal not to far from the hotel there were a number of places that I saw butna place popped up called Codmother fish & chips on 496 beach street but when we got there it was not open .nand one more time we were going back to the hotel we came back the way so we would pass Codmother,s but the place was still closed. but I just looked online now day of me posting this and it's showing reviews that people have been with in the last monthnmay be when me and my wife were in San Francisco the place may have been having some work donenor with it been into November they may have closed for the yearnI hope me and my wife will return to San Francisco some time .
