Coit Tower is a beautiful landmark in San Francisco. Be prepared to walk up some steep hills to get there, but once you do, it will all be totally worth it. The view of this amazing city is just spectacular, both from outside the tower as well as up inside. Bring comfortable shoes and your camera!

Only a true Sam Franciscan understand this tower as being a beacon and favorite hangout. Just miss the curving hillside to so much!

Pretty cool, but some homeless people were there.

We drove up on a Sunday morning at around 11AM. Very surprised to see lots of empty parking spaces. Maybe we got lucky. Great views of the golden gate and bay bridges. Go and do Lombard street first.

Nothing says ‘I love San Francisco’ more than building a subtle 210 foot tower on top of a large hill. But hey, it was the 30’s.nnCoit Tower, completed 1933 at the bequest of Lillie Hitchcock Coit. It was her wish that her legacy be used to beautify the city of San Francisco. All jokes aside, I feel that the legacy of her tower outdoes her wish: instead of only beautifying the city, the tower has become the best vantage point from which to view the city it resides in.nnThough the interior of the tower remains closed to the public due to the pandemic, the views from the base of the tower prove just as beautiful. Visiting now is a rare chance to experience peace in this spot, as once the tourists come back it will be anything but.
