This nicely maintained park in a very nice neighborhood has something for everyone. Nice shady trails with many paved ones. Tennis courts and playground. Sweeping views of the city through the trees. Interesting fact: the gutters along the paved paths are lined with old tombstones.

Very pretty little park in San Francisco. Went at night and the walk was pleasant with great views of the city to admire from the top. It was a little sketch with the amount of people there in the dark, but they are harmless for the most part. I just find it unfortunate they are forced to reside here for lack of a better option. Overall, would recommend visiting this park, although you'd probably want to go in the daytime.

Lots of beautiful overgrowth and undergrowth. Steep paths but also a ramp for wheelchairs. There is a playground. It's pretty old but is partially shaded so that's nice.

Whenever I visit San Francisco, I end up visiting touristy areas. I have missed this park in my visits. This park is few blocks from Haight and Ashbury intersection. There is a nice sloped lawn right next to Haight street, where folks can sit and relax, also great place for picnic.nYou have to do quite a bit of steep climbing to reach the top of the hill in Buena Vista park, on the way we saw children's play structure.nPark has so many tall trees, suddenly you feel like you are in wilderness, great place to escape from cities busy life.nThis is a dog friendly park as well, dogs need to be on leash.nOnce you reach top of the hill in the park, you can really enjoy spectacular views of San Francisco city, You can view SF skyline, waterfront near fisherman's wharf and also golden gate bridge.nThere is a bench at the top in between two, nice place to sit enjoy the views of the city.nCome to think of it, walk in the park is a great exercise, with steep steps and trails to get to the top.nHighly recommend visiting this park when you visit San Francisco!
