I was the only one there. The restaurant is small, with only a couple of tables. I could see one of the chefs in the kitchen making something. I do always love when I can see it inside the kitchen.nI was greeted by I think one of the owners, I think it's a husband and wife business.nThe menu looked nice. I saw some familiar dishes on the menu and some dishes were not so familiar, I think it's because of the region, where they are from in Colombia.nI was greeted promptly.nI asked for coffee and Bonuelos, but Bonuelos wasn't ready so I opted for an empanadanA couple of things and this is constructive criticism becasue I think this place has potential:n1- Coffee needs context, how should I say? it needs substance. My coffee was weak and it tasted very close to instant coffee. I can not emphasize enough the importance of a great cup of coffee and for many, this is the first introduction to your restaurant, it's what sets up, the first sign of what's to follow. Colombia is known for its coffee. I always say to follow two great examples for great coffee: El Paisa and second on the list El Antojo.n3- the size of the higado encebollado was great. Not too big and not too smalln2- The arepa had potential. I think it can be much better. I love arepas and I know a good arepa when I taste it. I still say, the best arepa and coffee in town El Paisa.nWork on making a great coffee, serve it with hot milk. Instant coffee is a no-no! for any restaurant. If this coffee was not instant, senores, really work on it.nParking is on the side of the streets. Depending on the time of the day, you may have a bit of trouble finding parking. But I did not have any troubles parking.nStudy your competition . See what makes them unique . You may not cook exactly the same way but learn from those who have been there before . There are about six or so Colombian restaurants in RI , learn from them what to do or not to do.nThis restaurant has great potential and I do hope it grows in this tough times !
