All around great experience. My friend and I was visiting for the first time based on the recommendation of a radio personality. We were received well and the Philly steak subs were amoung the best we ever had. My friend commented specifically about the great flavor of the meat that was a turn off for him at other places. Highly recommend Original Steak & Hoagies.

Food was delicious. Hoagies were packed full of meat and spot on. The whizzy tots are amazing!! If you're looking for an authentic Philly this is place is it.

I reviewed this place 4 years ago and it was excellent authentic Philly cheesesteaks and hoagies. I used to go once a week for lunch. The management must have changed at some point in the past few years because the quality now is pretty poor. I got a hoagie today and it was gross, on a toasted roll, thick cut deli meats, weirdly cut romaine, diced onions and tomatoes, and sweet pickles. It didn't resemble a proper hoagie at all. It's so disappointing that this place used to be my go to for a taste of Philly and it is no longer that.

I almost never leave 5 stars or 4 but I was impressed. I’d eat here again authentic philly steaks here.

Second time eating here and I wont be back. I got sick from the food within an hour. Server mixed up order and staff looked like they were smoking in the kitchen when I came in. No one was wearing a mask and kitchen staff were preparing food with their bare hands. Filing a complaint with the health dept. as well.n** In response to owners reply-10/16/20**nI apologize for the abrasive nature of this review, however at this time I'm not interested in speaking with management at this location. I hope you take the following reasons as constructive, and not demeaning or rude.n-Location is poorly keptn--Theres inventory overflowing from behind the counter into the dining area,n--half the lights in the front area don't work/flickeringn--you can see clean into the office and that was a mess as wellnnIf a manager can't even bother with the public facing image of a business what kind of response can I expect as a customer? An argument or even insults? I don't want to find out sorry.nnI wish you well and hope things improve.nBest,
