SmartBooks has been invaluable to me. I've owned several small businesses, and have done my own books ... albeit with a lot of stress. Smartbooks has given me insights into my financial picture, areas in the business I should focus on, and allowing me to stay focused on growing the business, instead of staying financially compliant. Easiest 5 star review I've ever written. Highly recommend.

Affordable, high quality accounting and tax service. The name of the game is leveraging Smart books and their amazing staff so you can focus on your business. Your annual cost is very likely to be much less than what it would cost for you to hire someone, plus SmartBooks will never call in sick, quit, or steal ---- these are the top issues small business owners go through with office managers and accountants. I strongly recommend their service.

SmartBooks offers professional accounting, payroll and treasury services at a great price. Our company has used SmartBooks for about 6 years! It continues to be a great comfort to know our financial accounting and related obligations are handled with such professionalism. Their staff are highly credentialed and wonderfully helpful to work with. Every time we have needed assistance in a new area such as the CARES Act PPP forgivable loan program, SmartBooks has always been ahead of us and able to fully support and perform necessary work resulting in success. We could not be where we are today without SmartBooks!

I am the controller for a software company in Cambridge. Been a controller for 20 years. I would not hesitate to use SmartBooks again in the future. My direct contact at SmartBooks, Kelly LaPrade, is the BEST - BY FAR - outside resource with whom I've had the experience of working. She and SmartBooks were incredibly responsive, thorough, detailed. I did not consider Kelly (and SmartBooks) as just an outside 3rd party resource. Kelly and SmartBooks were part of my TEAM. Great relationship that lasted over five years!

My biggest regret with Smartbooks is that I didn’t engage them sooner. We use multiple apps for the business and they have implemented a process with us that is tailored to our needs. We use several services in the Smartbooks chain, and they are all aces. Lori, Greg, Rebecca, Hollei, Tim, and especially Amanda who skillfully and efficiently resolves any issue. I feel lucky to have them and have no reservation recommending them. They are my essential workers!!
