Summer Trails Day Camp

Summer Trails Day Camp has been my second home for almost 20 years! I started as a camper at the age of 5 and continued on to eventually become a sports specialist and even a lifeguard! The memories I have of Summer Trails are ones I will carry with me for lifetime. I have remained friends with many of the people I met as a camper and as an employee. This camp will give children the best summer of their life and it is a place they will continue to talk about all school year. Summer Trails exposes children to so many activities such as, archery, arts and crafts, jewelry making, cooking, various sports, drama, dance and so much more! Although I moved on with my career I continue to visit Summer Trails every year my summer wouldn’t be complete without it! Summer Trails was my home for twenty years. The friends that I have made there and the skills that I learned are priceless. Going to private school my whole life, camp gave me an outlet beyond my dreams. I was exposed to social skills, team building, networking skills, problem solving skills and the confidence in myself to try something new. The experiences and friends that Summer Trails gave me will last me a life time.

Summer trails was my summer home for 20 years. The friendships I made and the skills I learned carried me through my formative years and beyond. The staff is amazing, caring, qualified, and full of “camp lifers”. I cannot wait to send my own children here to watch them grow and thrive during their summers like I was fortunate enough to do. You really can’t go wrong with summer trails for your child.

I love the atmosphere. Great staff. Amazing place to work. The kids are great. You get to do some many different activities. Plus they do stuff all year round from pumpkin smashing to ice skating. Amazing camp.

I have been working at Summer Trails Day Camp for Two summers and will be entering my third summer as an employee. I started off as a councilor and moved up to an Archery specialist and a Jewelry making specialist. I will be entering my second year as an archery specialist and art specialist. I have nothing bad to say about this camp. Everyone here is amazing from the directors to office staff and the nurse to the leadership team to the specialist to the councilors. I really wish I had an opportunity to go to a camp like Summer Trails when I was a kid. Summer Trails staff always welcomes campers with a smile and eager to start the day with so many exciting activities, to name a few Archery, Arts and Crafts, instuctional swim in the AM and free swim in the PM, climbing wall and so many more. Summer Trails always feels safe and campers plus staff feel very supported by others, and the campers are awesome. I feel so at home when I step onto the grounds of Summer Trails Day camp and I am sure you will feel the same way when you as a parent, staff, camper or interested camper walk onto the grounds of Summer Trails Day camp. Everyday we end our busy fun filled day with and afternoon snacks that include a fruit or ice cream. Summer Trails accommodates staff and Campers who have a dairy restriction. Summer Trails is also a nut FREE camp! Summer Trails this year is offering 2 days with hot food. On Tuesdays they will serve hot dogs and of course Pizza Fridays will return!
