At the last moment we needed a storage unit. We arrived 5 minutes before closing and the representative was very helpful in getting us all setup. We were able to rent the unit make it for the truck and unpack the truck. After being in such a rush we forgot the credit card at the desk and the rep called to let us know right away. When we returned with the truck we were able to uplift the card.
Thank you Folisha. It's my pleasure to meet with you. I am very much glad to help me for everything, your chargerport, your coopration, reminder me store closing time table, and your nice behaviour. Also I am very much pleased to your always smile face and priority to customer satisfactory. I do highly recommend to you always.
REVISED FROM 1star to 3star—4/14/21 -**RESOLUTION @ BOTTOM***nIf I could give zero stars I would. Please read through this long review before you decide to do business with them. I’ve been a customer with PRIME STORAGE for over 4yrs. I’ve had three different units and For the FOURTH unit, I rented a unit Upstairs on the 6th floor on March 1st/2nd. I told the Manager and Employees that I had a delivery with 48 pallets coming to the facility the next week. I received an email from the Manager stating that the elevator would be under construction the week of 3/8, After renting the unit only 3-4 days prior. SO I HAVE A TEAM OF 8 GUYS, THAT I HAVE TO PAY ud83dudcb0 BUT CANNOT GET THE JOB FULLY COMPLETED. NOBODY KNEW AT THE TIME OF RENTAL WHEN THEY TOOK MY $1000 that the elevator would be out for a week. Please keep in mind that I had to set this unit up for the delivery. So I had industrial shelving that needed to be taken upstairs, wire shelving units that weigh 350lbs+. So I had TO PAY PEOPLE TO TAKE THESE ITEMS UP THE STAIRS TO THE 6th FLOOR. DAY AFTER DAY FOR OVER A WEEK. IT WAS BACK BREAKING WORK. IT TOOK MY SON AND I THREE HOURS ONE DAY TO GET UP THE MATERIALS FOR ONE SHELVING UNIT TO THE 6TH FLOOR VIA THE STAIRS. TOTAL INCONVENIENCE!!!!!!!nnSo, the Manager, Felicia says she would accommodate me by giving me temporary units to put all of my stuff in until the elevator was operational again. She had a broken unit (gate broken) that she could offer along with two additional units. I WAS INITIALLY PLEASED that she was helping out and offering solutions to this problem. She also offered me a 30% discount. I didn’t feel that was sufficient being that I had incurred so many additional expenses and had to pay people twice and three times. I thought a month free would be more accommodating, so I ASKED IF I COULD SPEAK WITH HER SUPERVISOR (THE DISTRICT MANAGER) on 3/15 and she said she’ll have him to call me. Later the next week, I mentioned to Felicia that I hadn’t heard from him yet. He didn’t call me until Friday 3/26 at 5:41pm (sounded like he was on his way home in his car)-He left a message stating that he would call back on Monday, I called him that Monday and couldn’t reach him. Still HAVE YET TO SPEAK WITH HIM.nnTo add insult to injury, the next week I planned to get the stuff out on a Sunday. Hours of operation on a Sunday is only 6hrs. It took 8/9 hrs to get the stuff into 3 different 10X20 units so now with an elevator involved it would be nearly impossible to get the work done in that amount of time. So I asked them to extend to the next weekend. I WAS TOLD “WE NEED THE UNITS CLEARED BEFORE FRIDAY”. SO I had to scrounge around to find guys that were able to complete this task during a weekday. MIND YOU, I AM PAYING TWICE FOR HELP FOR THE SAME JOB THAT COULD'VE BEEN COMPLETED HAD THE ELEVATOR WORKED. So I come Wednesday with two guys, Thursday with 4guys, Friday with 3guys and Saturday with 3guys. We were able to clear 2 of the units out but not the 3rd. I realized at that point that I wouldn’t be able to fit it all in the new unit and that I’d likely have to pay for the third unit.nnI Received a phone call today, Tuesday 3/30 at 4:07pm from Felicia saying that my stuff is still not out of the units. I said “I only have stuff in one more unit, the broken unit” She went on to say that I needed to pay for it, which I was already prepared for, however, I told her that I had never spoken with the district manager, so I’d like to wait and speak with him first. SHE SAID NO, YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE UNIT NOW, CAN YOU COME IN. I told her again, I wanted to speak with the District manager first, she said, you need to speak with him about your unit upstairs, not the unit you are currently occupying. I asked if I could get the free month promotion I saw online and was TOLD NO, it’s not AVAILABLE on that. I wentdownstairs and paid for the “BROKEN UNIT”. FULL PRICE.nn*****RESOLUTION - THE MOST THE DISTRICT MANAGER COULD DO WAS 50% OFF OF BOTH UNITS. Although a full month would’ve been better, this was a sufficient resolution****
I visited Prime Storage on 180st & was given a tour by Ms.Felicia. WOW!!! It was refreshing to be guided by someone with such an in-depth knowledge of her product. I was almost completely sold on Prime Storage.
Guy at front desk tells me I look suspicious because my mouth and nose is covered (as per required by law upon entrance), and I was wearing sunglasses. He stops me and insists I tell him my unit number, as if I’m a sort of criminal. Maybe it was my skin color? Whatever. Never had an issue with staff before. I didn’t know they hired security to be inquisitive with patrons wearing Gucci glasses. Place is clean and doesn’t smell crazy. I feel like I used to pay double at a different storage place for relatively the same size unit.
