My son started kindergarten in Sept 2017. He is now in first grade and he still loves to go to school. He can't wait to get on the school bus in the morning. In fact, all the kids at our school bus stop are anxious to go to PS 499 every morning. The school is a warm community and all staff has been helpful to us. All Queens families should try their luck in the lottery to get into this school. It was the best choice for us because we live in a Queens district that is overcrowd.

I have been in this school for 9 years. It was some what stressful but it has been a fun experience. The teachers there care about each and everyone of the students. The teachers and staff try to give the students more fun activities to keep them interested like spirt day and etc. I love this school with all my heart and I'm extremely sad that I will be leaving this school in 2017. I highly recommend this schoolud83dudc95

This is school year was fun! The teacher and staff were nice and helpful. Sadly i am in 9th grade now. I have been there for 6 years and i still miss this school. The teacher doesn't give us too much homework so it won't be that stressful. We also i have gone on trips, they were fun. There is also after school, where you can learn more English and math, sometimes if you join there's Teen Thursday where you get to Fort Totten to learn about the people back then. Also there is basketball in the morning and volleyball after school if you want to join its a lot of fun. So if anyone live Queens go to this school and you'll have a lot of fun

Love this school. The teachers really care and the work isn't too stressful. It is the perfect school.
