Nice little small town market with a pretty big selection of everything. I got a pizza from their deli and they were really nice and answered my questions patiently.
Well, cashed in some recycling cans. Gotnmy receipt to cash in at the courtesy desk. Shopped a little. The went to check out. Cashier was horrible. No seperate bag or asked if I want to put my paid fornexpensive Amazon Card in my pocket.nInstead puts it on the top of my groceriesnin my bag. I was talking to her aboutnsomething being friendly conversation.nThe the cashier throws my activationnreceipt in the bag. On the very top. Againndoesn't ask me, if I would like to hold onnthe receipt or pur in bag. I had bought anBirthday card. That's thrown in with thengroceries. What happened to putting itnin a seperate bag that fits the card. If shenwas out of bags. You say, I'm out of bags.nNot this girl (cashier). So, I thought I'llncash in my ticket stubs from the recyclingncans at a different Big Y Supermarket.nI just wanted to leave the store.
Over priced as usual. Then they try to offer deals like buy-two-get-one-free, but all they do is Jack up the price so sometimes you're actually paying more than you would have if the item wasn't on sale. Honestly, I tried to avoid this place at all costs...
This is one of the better big y's in Western Mass, great service and fresh food.
Shopping at Big Y is a pleasant experience. It is clean, has an amazing variety of foods, and fresh produce. Also, the staff is friendly and professional.
