Hempstead Lake State Park

The bugs have to pit some spray in the grass and bushes

Park is very nice but too many bees, and the ladies' bathroom was absolutely horrific

Decent place, pretty clean, well maintained. They have enough tables, ash containers and nice parking lot. Price for entrance $8 looks fair for me.

Awesome place to spend time, jog, run, walk a dog. Parking $8 on weekend before 4pm and free during weekdays and after 4pm on weekends. Tennis courts (all seasons and clay), fishing, playgrounds, basketball court, BBQ places

I think entrance ways/signage from the parking lot to the bridal and pond path would be helpful. Once you figure out how to navigate around, it's not bad; certainly bigger than Valley Stream State Park if you are going to go during open season which has parking/entry fees.
