Love the beach there! Clean and spacious. I prefer this beach to Brighton Beach because it gets less crowded (Rockaway is pretty far). You can reach it by subway (which is what I recommend if you're living in the heart of Brooklyn) or ferry.
I've been a resident of arverne for ten awesome years. I love it here. . It always feels like I'm on a vacation getaway after all these years ....

Everyone is social distancing. Nice to get out of the city. Just bad sand. Dirty and rough. Go further down Long Island for better beaches.
The beach has been nicely renovated. There are many activities to do here and is only a few blocks away from me stores and restaurants.
