Dan is great! I set up an appointment to have the front door look re-keyed. He was very nice, punctual, called ahead of time to let me know he was coming on a specified day. The price was very reasonable too. He was very efficient; procedure did not take longer than 20 minutes. Overall, I had a very good experience with Advanced Lock&Key. Everyone here is really nice and always happy to answer any questions. I was initially thinking that I will need to have the whole lock changed but was told that it is possible to just have it re-keyed and it would be a lower price. I highly recommend this place.

Look no further! Need a locksmith or anything related? This is the place. All the five star reviews are for real. Local family, long time business, doing things right. Too bad all businesses aren't like this. We had a key break off inside a side door deadbolt. Dan and Greg responded fast, efficiently, and in a friendly manner. Priced fairly. Dan was wonderfully accommodating, and the convenience and ease of transaction could NOT have been any better. Thanks, guys! New customer, for life. Use this business without hesitation!

Great company! Jr has always been very helpful and accommodating. He has made several programmed keys for me for less than a dealership would and has install locks in my house in Clarence and rental in Buffalo. He also was quick to fix a manufacturers defective product.

The staff at Advanced Lock & Key Incorporated were truly amazing. The workers were professional, friendly, and kind, the work they did on changing the locks on my home was timely and well-done.nnI had to suddenly change the locks on my home for safety reasons. I just Googled: “changing locks in Buffalo, NY,” and I decided to call Advanced Lock & Key Incorporated (my thought-process was, they have a nice website and the best reviews).nnAfter I explained the situation to the worker who answered the phone, Dan Jr. (it is a family business, I was so grateful for the help and how nice this man was, I asked the worker who showed-up to my home and changed my locks, who I found out was Dan Sr., his Father, if there was any way to mention to the worker I spoke with on the phone supervisor about how nice and helpful he was—Dan Sr. laughed and explained it was his son and Advanced Lock & Key is a family business).nnDan Jr. who I spoke with on the phone, was so personable and kind, he let me ramble on and seemed to genuinely be listening and validating my concerns/ attempting to understand how to help. Dan Jr. then had his Father, Dan Sr., come over to my house within the hour to change the locks.nnWhen Dan Sr. arrived, I realized that I did not even have a key for my back door (we just never use it), and it was a different lock than the front. Dan Sr. was able to make it so the old keys did not work in any of the doors (I checked several times, no go) and he was able to provide me 4 key copies (on the spot too, Dan Sr. showed me they have an operational van that allows them to make keys/copies at your house). It only took Dan Sr. about 30 minutes, if that, to change the locks so all the doors would not open with the old key (he even had to remove the door handle/locking mechanism for the back door and put it back on since we did not have an original key) and the same new key could be used on the front and back door, he also gave me 4 keys in total in the end.nnAnother plus, Dan Sr. was mindful of my cat while working. Dr Sr. was respectful and alert to ensure my cat did not try to escape (even though Dan Sr. is allergic he joked, but noted: “his mask helps in more ways than one, so it is not a problem”– Dan Sr. had a mask on for the entire time, as did I/ very adherent and respectful of covid safety protocol).nnIn addition to doing wonderful work (in the past when I had to make copies of keys I have used the key-kiosks at Rite Aid- they always worked, but were not smooth, seemed jagged and/or didn’t look like the original, but they did always work –also I crunched the numbers Advanced Lock & Key seems to be around the same price for a key copy when compared to a key-kiosks, maybe even cheaper, given how reasonable, price-wise, it was to have all this work done on changing my locks and getting 4 keys) –the keys were cleanly-cut and each one opened both the front and back door to my home without a problem.nnI cannot thank Advanced Lock & Key and Dan Jr. and Dan Sr. enough; it was a hard day for me personally and I was in a difficult situation. They were able to practically help me with their knowledge and skill with respect to being locksmiths, but they also provided me with safety and piece of mind. I cannot recommend Advanced Lock & Key more; they do wonderful work and are wonderful people!nnThank you!nKatie :)
