South Grand Island Bridge

Very beautiful bridge, but wish there were shoulders. Lanes are narrow and surrounded by walls. I realize it's an old bridge but maybe sometime in the future it could be widened? Wish it had better pedestrian features

It really bridges the gap, and does a darn good job at it!

I gave it a solid 3,because that's splitting the rating spectrum for this little gem of WNY architecture right down the middle; 3AM? 5 stars. 3PM? Quantum computing hasn't brought us deep enough into the negatives to adequately rate this nightmare of a traffic system. At least the physical toll booths are gone.

One of two Bridges connecting the Niagara falls area and Buffalo. You get a great view of the river, where you will see many boaters and jet sky's on the good weather days. I do have a complaint though. Even though the toll booths are removed, you still tend to get a traffic backup. If there is any sort of accident on Grand island, you better have a full tank of gas. You will be waiting for a long time on that island.
