Sunrise Mountain Overlook

Beautiful veiws

Sunrise Mountain Outlook is not far from the parking lot, easily accessible. The panoramic views are spectacular at this season! Parking might be a little challenging on the weekends but luckily visitors come and go, so you shouldn't have to wait for too long. Dog lovers can bring your dogs to enjoy the views with you! :)

What a Mesmerizing view. All these years we went far from NJ to see fall colors without knowing this place. You can see panoramic view from the overlook. There are many trails in this state park for hiking and trekking.

This is a wonderful place to go and do yoga, there are trails for hiking, personally my friends and I used to being acoustic guitars and bongos and other acoustical instruments and jam in the pavilion that they have at the top of the lookout!! It's a really cool spot that takes you away and out of your everyday rat race stress and anxiety! I highly recommend taking a day and going up there.... maybe shoot for a day that will have a nice clear sunset! Very relaxing and it has become more popular in the last few decades, me and my GenX friends started going up there around 1990 and the last time I was up there was like 2015 and it seemed to have a few more people than I personally care to have up there! It's all relevant.... if people are there for the right reasons and not up there partying and yelling and throwing empty beer cans al over the place.... that's when the spot and the whole idea and meaning behind the spot gets ruined by a couple of bad apples. But do not let that discourage you because no matter what, the view and everything outweighs any idiot that's trying to ruin other's days! ud83dude09

A great overlook with beautiful views. There are also pull outs on the road in to the overlook for trail access and scenic views.nnThere is plenty of parking, picnic tables, men's and women's privies and access to the Appalachian trail. There is an overlook right at the parking lot with picnic tables and a larker overlook with a pavilion within a short hike from the parking lot.nnGreat views all around and a relaxing place to spend some time.nn10/2/2020 - Note that the bathrooms are closed at this time due to Covid-19 restrictions.
