The Jym

One of the best gyms I’ve ever been to, the owners and staff are extremely friendly and they make you feel at home, a great place to lift weights

love this place! I have free memberships to several other gyms... but my free options which include LA fitness and all the other big name outfits are not nearly as good as The Jym so I am more than happy to pay a monthly membership to use it. The staff is wonderful and they actually do know clients by name which isnvery cool. The place is extremely clean and they've done something in the locker rooms have never seen before they have scented decanters that fill the locker rooms with the scent of sandalwood. Definitely an a+ for a creative solution to a a standard problem in any gym. I haven't been there since before covid but at that time they offered their patrons not only lemon water but also free coffee... which I have never seen in any other gym. In addition to that the juice bar is exceptional. it is not the largest gym I've ever been in but considering their size I have to say they have every possible piece of equipment that you could ever need.n....so happy they survived the lockdown.❤ufe0f

Would give ZERO STARS if I could. Being a Montville resident, I was hoping to support a local business by leaving a chain gym and trying someplace local. I was hoping to find a sense of community. Instead, what I found was more akin to a frat house. Some of the equipment is broken or warn down. That is something I can overlook temporarily. However, the majority of my rating comes from the fact that a good portion of the gym patrons were WEARING MASKS BELOW NOSE AND/OR CHIN. There didn't appear to be any management and there was NO MASK ENFORCEMENT. It didn't seem like many, if any, COVID-19 protocols were in place and I felt very unsafe. I also did not see any cleaning by staff taking place. It might be okay for younger people to get away with it, but being in the older crowd, I felt like this was not a place I could exercise safely. Many patrons were NOT PRACTICING SOCIAL DISTANCING on top of not wearing masks and some kids were even rough housing. It was devastating and scary to see how many people have a lack of disregard for the health and well-being of their community. Unfortunately, because of all of the above reasons, I will be forced to continue to go to a chain gym where the pandemic is taken more seriously. The Jym did take my temperature and had a few spray bottles available so I give them that.

Great equipment & staff always clean a damn good gym to get mentally & physically fit

The most superior Jym in the area, by far. They have an incredible, extensive array of machines, equipment, weights and more. The owners, Ant and Frank, put their whole hearts into the business, and it clearly shows. The shakes and apparel are on point. The Jym is spotless, welcoming and motivating. Go there if aspire to be better.
