Great place to rest when you are hiking this trail. Come prepared, bring water and food. A water filter will come in handy to drink from the pond. Remember don't drink directly from the pond, USE A WATER FILTER! Met some good people while I was there that assisted with my no water issue. Bunkhouse looked comfortable if you needed to spend a night.
Cute little place, unique and nice added feature. Lots of good camping locations. Even a place to store thinks in a bear proof bin which is a nice added touch!
Large double decker shelter, several tent sites. Lake water source, but fairly clean and plenty of rocks to sit beside the lake. Out house and bear box. Fee for use much of the year, speak with the site caretaker.
The best accommodations you can find at 4000 feet
I love this shelter. Easy to get to and beautiful views.
