Mountain Mike's Pizza

We were in town for the night and this place was close, after reading reviews and seeing that they have VEGAN CHEESE, we decided to give them a try. The crust was good, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. We asked for light sauce and they actually put light sauce on, which was great. I gave 4 stars for the cheese... it was weird. I’ve been vegan for a while and we get vegan pizzas all the time, this is the first time I’ve had a pizza with chunky pieces of what I assume was vegan mozzarella, but it wasn’t really melted or cooked so it was kinda weird. If it would have been melted it would have been better, both in appearance and taste, I’d assume, but I didn’t dig it that much. I appreciate pizza places that offer vegan cheese tho, so thanks for having it as an option! The cheese didn’t taste weird or anything, just kinda off-putting. I’d order it again tho, the toppings were plentiful and fresh.

Such an awesome environment and very friendly service. I try not to leave to many reviews so people will actually take my reviews seriously. But when I have been repeatedly impressed by one place it Is hard not to. Pizza is great and service is on point. Very much a home town pizza joint feel. Give it a try and I’ll bet you come again.

My family tried this place before, they said it's good. Checked reviews, seemingly decent-fair. On my b-day, I went with this pizza spot. My family ordered/picked up 2 large pizzas and 1 order of pizza cheesy bread. We were busy that day, none of us get to have lunch. During dinner, the pizzas looked yum delicious, smells/good and looks inviting. That night, we had diarrhea, upset stomach, that was the only thing we ate; it was clear whoever prepared our pizzas/cheesy bread sticks may not have prepared it in the right manner, if ingredients stored in proper temperature and meat is fresh, no issues there to cause food poisoning. Second, frequent hand wash is necessary, absolute and should be mandatory when employed in a food preparation work setting/environment. A fun evening turned out to be bathroom visits. 3 adults and 2 children we were all ill. The thoughts drifted to mind the next time we want pizza, we will take an alternative route and go with another pizza place. Seldom, very very seldom I score a two star, if at all. I hope in future times, frequent hand washing is strongly encouraged for everyone who works there or when taking a shift, food is stored in accurate-correct-proper temperature. Once someone has an unpleasant experience, it's difficult to win them back. Taking the protocol, visits with employees to go over training 101 (brief meeting) could correct this measure.

Pizza is pretty much pizza to me. However, after saying that, it is better than a lot of places. The pizza was hot, but the room temperature was cold, so it cooled off quickly. We got the weekend special, and they even split the pizzas, so it was like getting 4 different kinds.

We love Mountain Mike’s. We grew up eating it in California and now we are willing to drive 35 minutes from our house to enjoy the pizza. We LOVE the old world style pepperoni. The left overs are great as well!
