We stayed here in July 2019. This CG is owned by a cattle ranching family. They built the CG for the 2017 solar eclipse and have kept it running since. The CG itself is in the middle of one of their hay fields. It is very secluded with zero light pollution at night. Traffic on the road is limited to the few farmers that live past the CG. This is about .5 mile from the Agate Fossil Beds National Monument. The next nearest CG is 20+ miles away. The $25 is a bit expensive for what you get, but it's the location and isolation that made it worth it for us. The owners are extremely responsive on the phone or their Facebook page, but there are no reservations and everything is self-pay when you arrive. Unless there is something wild like an eclipse occurring, you don't have much to worry about getting a spot. Cell service is almost non-existent. There is a Verizon dead zone about 30 miles in either direction of the CG. The owner said that ATT was decent. Other than a wild thunderstorm that dumped about 3 in of rain and hail on us around 2 am, we really enjoyed our stay here. The owner came out and visited for about 20 minutes and made us feel at home. We went to the 4th of July fireworks in nearby Harrison, NE. It's put on by the volunteer FD and it was great. If we were in the area again, we'd definitely stay here.
