Stop and smell. In winter, admire their cozy beds. There are very few public rose gardens in America. This is a good one.

ROSES!ud83cudf39 REAL ROSES! WITH FRAGRANCE! So, I get a little excited to see roses the way they used to be. Probably more than 40 varieties set out in a lovely setting with a view of Lake Harriet. Take a walk around the lake, rent a bike, take in a concert, sip wine, beer, soft drinks, lots of snacks and food available at the pavilion within an easy walk of the garden. And funny forget to cross the street to see the Japanese garden with sculptures.

There are many beautiful spaces to be found in Minneapolis, and even though I often feel like I've been here already and don't need to see it again, I am constantly amazed by the stunning display of flora here.nnThe rose garden itself is an amazing sight with rows of different varieties of roses- some of which seem to faire better in Minnesota weather than others- but all of which offer a unique beauty.nnSurrounding the rose garden, though, is an asymmetrical arrangement of colors from a plethora of flower species that just serves to further enhance the feeling of wonder and beauty to be found here.nnDownside is that it is often populated with photographers doing model photo shoots that can detract from the experience.

We went walking around the Japanese garden. It has really unique landscaping and trees.

I went here in late August of this year for my senior pictures and it was mostly beautiful, but some of it was somehow already dead! Either way though, my pictures from here turned out great and I’d highly recommend a nice walk through here if you can. There are so many benches and places to hammock!
