I consider this place to be a bit of a hidden treasure on the Southeast side of the cities. I love how they've built it up with the history of the area and it's just the perfect place to visit for like half an hour. The walk out to the old swing bridge is amazing and we've had more than one experience of a gigantic barge honking it's horn at us as we wave to it! Just an awesome place to go, plan to go out and visit in the summer when it's forecasted to be windy! It's like being in a tornado LOL
Lovely place with something for all. Scenic trails ranging in flat to inclined, covered picnic tables and electric, beautiful historic bridge and off trail hiking
This smaller park is a pretty nice place to visit and walk out on the bridge that has been converted into a pier. I visited in the winter so I was unable to get to the overlook due to very icy conditions.
This is a really interesting bridge like nothing I've seen before. It's worth checking out.
