Congrats to the wonderful Angela Wisniewski, owner and operator of Coup D'état on the one year anniversary of her shop Coup D'état. In this past year, she's faced so many of the worldly obstacles we have all faced with so much grace and love for her community. During the elections, she used her shop as place to actively register voters. She made her shop a safe place where people can come and hang out, and experiment with their own style. It was also a place where you can fun into other friendly faces you know or just meet and have a great conversation. I always have wonderful conversations with Angela and she's been a great ear to me for the past year. Detroit is lucky to have someone like Angela a part of their business community and their culture.

Best shop ever! The owner is the most stylish person you’ll ever meet and wants nothing more than to share her finds with all!! Really beautiful, colorful, unique pieces you won’t stumble upon anywhere else. And you can trust that all products are brought in with integrity: solid brands, ethically made goods, fair prices, too. GREAT spot for gift shopping. Bonus- I was able to FaceTime shop during quarantine, delightful experience and got everything sent to me free of charge! Don’t sleep on this shop! It’s too good. Support your local, woman-owned businesses!

Love this shop and it's elegant and playful offerings and atmosphere. Angela has done a great job infusing her eclectic personal style in this warm and welcoming shop. You can find a little bit of everything here - from stylish clothing, shoes, and accessories, to thoughtfully selected homewares like candles, to nail polish and cruelty-free, non-toxic beauty products. I am personally in love with the Darner socks! So glad to have a shop and experience like Coup here in Detroit!

Thank god for this gem. Not only is it fashion forward but the space, itself, is simply breathtaking. You can buy Clare V. there too (jackpot)! I just appreciate the accessibility to unique brands and distinct collections that aren't easy to find. The store aesthetic and quality designs make this store my new favorite!
