This team is great at doing all kinds of home repair, as well as painting. We hired Gaspar to paint the exterior of our house about a dozen years ago and have used Martinez Painting and Home Improvement for many other projects since. They are reliable, friendly, hardworking, and skilled. Would highly recommend!

Martinez Painting Co. Ypsilanti, MI is THE Worst painting service ever. Gave us a quote for $6000 promised to finish the painting project of the entire house in 2-3 days. On the 1st day the team of two seemed to be good. The 2nd day the owner Gaspar appeared with 2 more inexperienced guys who barely knew how to do their job. Definitely appeared to be learning on the job kind or the owner didn't want to spend money on the guys who do their job right. The team showed an attitude by putting up a tough exterior just to keep questions at bay. The quality of painting got pretty bad after questions were raised. They put you on a bad spot where you have to decide either you let them continue with their bad quality work without questions asked or you ask them to leave with an unfinished job. One painter guy didn't even bother to remove the door knobs and switch plates before painting. The metal door, baseboards, staircase railings, window sill painting finish is terrible that I regret hiring them to get my painting job done. Original matte finish on all wood surfaces are now seen with unprofessional brush strokes. I'm extremely unhappy with their work. The fire place wasn't covered with drop cloth to prevent paint drips. We assumed that they would eventually clean up all of it. My fireplace is now covered with paint drips on the frame. The inner surfaces of closet doors were left unpainted and Gaspar argued that they don't paint the inner surfaces for any home. They definitely didn't let us know while hiring them for the project. Overall the quality of painting is pretty bad that we ended up being frustrated and furious. They don't have any ethics for job completion nor with what they promised to do. After the project was done and bank check cleared of payment we realized our kitchen blinds were broken. I trusted this untrustworthy person for my paint project. This is a one man show business. They are not listed under BBB where I could raise my issue. Felt totally ripped off by this person. I wish I had asked them to leave with an unfinished job as soon as their attitude turned sour. Kindly save your TIME & PRECIOUS MONEY and hire someone trustworthy who does a better job.
