Beautiful. Hidden gem for the dogs, they got to run free with a huge dune boundary on one side and the lake on the other. The highway is there but we spent most of the day on the other side of the dune. At night semis drove by but in-between was calming waves. Plus the site we stayed had a big beach area where you could potentially camp and not worry about the road.
Nice and clean campground, but the highway noise is just awful. It goes all night long, and during the day you can't even hear anyone when they are talking. If you stay on the beach side you will have easy access to the water, however to get to the lake if you are on the other side can be difficult, steep down and uphill climbs. Would not camp here again.
This place is awesome, the Host were amazing too. Most amazing campsites too! Not a bad one in the placeud83dude0a
Neighbors....what neighbors? This place is very quiet (except for US 2, but not a huge deal), relaxing and quite beautiful.nCheck for ticks and check local info for mosquitos before you arrive. They weren't too bad, until we were packing up. I lost 3 pints of blood at that point.
