Goff Lake Campgrounds

This a very clean and quiet campground. On a lake where you can launch your boat or raft. Owners were waiting for us when we arrived, helped us park and asked if we needed anything else. When we were leaving and using the dump station the owner came out and thanked us for camping with them and told us to have a safe travel.

South West Lower Michigan's BEST KEPT SECRET ! Less than an hour from just about anywhere down here . The campgrounds owners are the best ! John and Toni are creating an atmosphere 2nd the none . NEAT CLEAN COZY are the accommodations in the cabins our family had for the weekend. Kids were hauling in the fish , adults were lounging and riding the trails on our golf carts . Beautiful play area for the grand kids ...Amazing shower house facility...We could not have been more pleased !

It is a shame that I must write this review, but I feel others need to be prepared if they want to stay at Goff Lake Campground. The new owners were friendly until after we paid. Once we paid, we were approached and treated with nothing but disrespect from the owner. To start off, an issue we had was the lack of respect for the growing pandemic. Not once did the owners have a mask on or even touch base on social distancing in the check in process. There were no levels of awareness or knowledge on the campground. The second problem and main issue was the level of customer service. It was downright unacceptable. The owner came over to ask us to move our car and the tone was callous and extremely rude. If she would have asked nicely, we could have explained we had a visitor with ALS who is not going to be with us much longer. We had used that parking spot so he could walk up to the deck and enjoy probably one of the last fun family days he will have. We obliged and moved our car as harshly requested by the owner, and then the owner came back with the same ostentatious attitude saying, “I can’t have this.”. Overall, we ended up leaving early and will not be back. This is supposed to be a fun enjoyable place to relax. Instead we were met with an extremely rude owner and felt like we had to walk on pins and needles. If she would have showed a sliver of compassion for her patrons, this would have been a different story. Save yourself the time and go to a campground that appreciates its customers and does not treat them with such disrespect.

The perfect spot for us! The owners take exceptional care of the place and everyone we've met here have been very friendly! Who knew that you could find a little piece of Heaven in southwestern Michigan?
