It is nice and quiet, beautiful trees and a lovely river you can dump you kayak in an the camp host will pick you up!. Grass/gravel sites, electric water, sewer, fire rings, garbage pickup. The sites are oddly set up so look at sites first ( if you can figure them out). 30 minutes to Empire, great kayaking in the area, tubing, boating. It is a good home base, nice dark sky!

Very nice! The owners are nice and welcoming. How they have so many bad reviews is sad. It is a quiet campground. My kids loved the pool and riding their bikes around. Walks to the river is nice too. The little store is amazing. They have ice candy, beer. Platte river is 12 min away to enjoy the beach. The owners are very welcoming.

Dan was very kind and always working so hard around the property while we stayed there. We originally tried to rent a motel room and he offered us a cabin. I'm so glad we decided to take the cabin. We loved the fact that the cabin was stocked with everything one could ever need. We had a fire every night and enjoyed swimming daily at the big, private in ground pool. The set up at Sunny woods is Amazing! River access, a pool and cabin plus Dan had cords of wood for purchase. It's a wonderful place and we are looking foward to coming back again. We brought a peach pie to Dan and his wife for treating us like family as we just happen to stumble into his area. So glad that we did.

We have been staying here for years and we make the trip to the Drive Inn during one of the nights we’re there. We have always had a great time and the owners are wonderful people. The camp ground is incredible and there is a river for fishing. It’s the only place we camp at when in the area. Keep up the great work and please don’t let the people with bad reviews mess with what your doing! I find it hard to believe that with all the times we have been there over the past 5 years that they are anything less than awesome. Cannot wait to be back there in a few weeks!!
