Visited in the winter, so I had the campground to myself. There are plenty of sites, but they are located fairly close together. You can hear/see the river from some sites.nFirepits and picnic tables at every site. Water pump and vault toilets available.
Beautiful tree canopy to camp under! Pro tip: This is not the same as Platte River Campground on Lake Michigan Rd. This is the Platte River STATE FOREST Campground on Goose Rd. Would highly recommend, just remember it's first come first serve!
Really nice place. Facilities are clean. The camp areas are clean and just a small walk to lake Michigan
Nice quiet rustic campground pretty clean and well maintained beats a lot of the other ones.
Peaceful camping, good amenities, excellent river access. Totally kid friendly
