This was our first stop in Maine on a road trip and WOW it did not disappoint!! We got the classic lobster roll and fried clams. I could have ate it everyday !! The lobster roll was so flavorful yet so simple. The bun was almost like Texas toast and the lobster was lightly tossed in mayonnaise. It was so light and delicious!! The fried clams were breaded so lightly and were incredibly juicy on the inside. They had homemade tarter sauce that was out of this world!!

My sister and I had lunch there this afternoon Easter Sunday. She had the lobster roll with butter onion rings. She enjoyed it very much thought it was delicious. I had the large clam chowder. This was not so delicious. It was very soupy greasy but not butter greasy something else greasy. The potato cubes were very hard on your card. Had had no real flavor to it at all. Very disappointed. The manager adjusted our bill so we don’t have to pay for it nevertheless it does not change how I feel about my review. I have been there in the past many times the clams the oysters the lobster has always been delicious. This was my very first experience with the clam chowder in my very last. It’s not thick and creamy like I expected it was too thin to soupy too much like leftovers trying to stretch out everything.

I had the buttered lobster roll, combo #4 (haddock, shrimps, and clam strips), and a bowl of clam chowder to-go. After all the years in business i would expect a better to go package. It was basically the paper boat tossed in a brown paper bag. You can just image the grease. Overall it took about 45minutes for the other despite the said 15min. I think they might have skipped over my order. Definitely not summertime busy, but understandable. Lobster roll was excellent; toasted buttered roll STUFFED with buttered lobster. A little pricey but well worth it. A little disappointed with the combo. It had about 2-3 small pieces of haddock, garden salad size shrimps ud83dude1e, and thin strips of clam, with a side of fries and cole slaw. Best thing about the combo were the fries sadly. Clam chowder had a nice balanced flavor, but I would prefer the chowder a bit thicker. It was really soupy. Other than that, still giving a 4 star due to the nice employees who went out of their way to provide a smooth experience.

I had lunch here about a month ago with my husband (just now remembering to comment). I must say, BEST SEAFOOD PLACE EVER!!! Staff was friendly, seafood was fresh and delicious! You will definitely get what you pay for here, I was not expecting the very large portions that my husband and I got. I've been to a number of seafood restaurants back in Virginia where I'm from, and they have nothing compared to Bob's Clam Hut! Great place to eat anytime of the day! Will definitely be returning...soon!
