Even when off season stop and check it out. History posted and can look at the ice cutting equipment and barn. Worth a quick stop

Where else are you ever in this time going to visit a real historic working ice house! We went with our scout troop and found ourselves first watching, then participating in cutting ice from the frozen pond and floating the cakes to the ramp to be lifted and slid into the saw dust insulated ice house where stacking was happening, come visit, your never doing this anywhere else, Gman.
Interesting to learn about the ice houses of olden times. So nice to know this is one of the few active ice houses and is still used by fishermen today. It was an interesting tour.
Great skating! Fun family place to go. Quiet.
