Just ate here this evening with my husband. We both had the Lobster roll and it was SO GOOD! It was different than the lobster rolls I'm used to only because its served with melted butter instead of having mayo but it was Amazing!nI love that it's super low key and has an off the beaten path feel. All around great experience.

I’ve been wanting to try this place all summer and today had the opportunity. Ordered 2 lobster rolls to go, $47.52 + a 15%. Expensive take out, but I’d heard wonderful things. Took under 5 minutes to get home. Nice presentation with chips, slaw, dill spear, utensil packet, drawn butter and a nasturtium blossom. I’m guessing the equivalent of a chick lobster on a lightly toasted roll. Lobster is “naked” so hubby put a tiny bit of mayo on his. I drizzled the warmed drawn butter over mine. Took a bite and nearly died. COLD COLD COLD lobster meat with now congealed butter on it! They didn’t warm the lobster meat!!!nNow, that might not be a problem for some folks, but to me it was just gross. Very disappointed and will never go back.

Visited a few places for lobster rolls and other seafood sandwiches for lunch. The Shannon's Unshelled is way better in quality and in presentation. We enjoyed the Haddock sandwich as well as the fried scallops. You might not have the best view as the others but if you are coming for a good lunch or dinner, I highly recommend this place.

We visited Shannon's Unshelled twice during our stay in Boothbay Harbor. We loved it so much, we had to go back for a second visit! The lobster rolls are full of fresh meat with a great mix of tail and claw. They served warm butter and lemon on the side. We also tried the shrimp roll, the scallops, and the kid's hot dog plate. All of the food was fresh, hot, and delicious! Great portion sizes for the price. They have local sodas as well. Definitely worth a visit.

I give four stars because 5 is rarely achieved....this was amazing food with amazing personal service...my wife and I were so impressed with everything, that we were recommending the food and service to people stopping looking at the menu. This is a must stop if you are in the area. Thank you for such a great food experience. We will be back.
