Nice easy grade elevation to the top. View of Penobscot Bay and the Camden hills is stunning. Great hanging out at the Lodge at the top.

A great little hike with wonderful views, and really accessible for people with mobility challenges or for people with a stroller!

One side is a little muddy, on the side beach hill road is very nice and kid friendly my kids loved it, stroller friendly I didn't walk the whole way so im not sure where it leads

Beautiful family hike! Our 3.5 year old walked the whole way up and down. I would rate this an easy hike minus a few sneaky roots and rocks that sneak up on you, while enjoying the scenery. Blackberries along the trail and blueberries at the summit. The old rock house was simply amazing. Definitely worth the trip.

In late fall of 2019, we made a pitstop here on our way up the coast to stretch our legs after a wonderful lunch at the Home Kitchen Cafe in Rockland. I'm so glad we did. Despite it being an overcast, damp fall day, it was a gorgeous hike. It was an easy uphill hike from the trailhead, and the reds, yellows, and frosted purples along the way were so lovely. We were greeted at the top by the best colorscape of our entire trip, as well as foggy views of the harbor. It truly felt as though we were in a Wyeth painting. The best part was we only saw a few other people and felt like we had the entire place to ourselves.
