We had our first overnited lobster. It was wonderful. Cooked to perfection. My 85 year old father in law never ate one. He said it was excellent. We followed their directions to a T and it was perfect. Will definitely do again.. Had garlic lobsters rolls.. Had every ones beat in Bar Harbor. Big chunks of lobster.. Not minced.

When you can't be with someone you love and want to celebrate something special . . . surprise them with a box from Beal's!! Prior to placing my order, I emailed Beal's and Justin was super helpful and responded quickly so I was able to place an order for my parent's 55th anniversary. I ordered 2 2lb lobsters and 2 lbs of scallops . . . they loved them and had plenty for their long weekend celebration (with scallops in the freezer too for a few more meals). My parents were definetely surprised to open their gift of live lobsters (although you can get them cooked too). I cannot imagine a better gift; if you are thinking of what to get someone this is it!!! Overnight delivery and plenty of ice too made it super fresh and delicious (as per my parents!!). Thanks again Beal's . . . I'm likely to repeat this gift!!

Don't bother with this place. It is the least authentic Maine experience. If you order online, you are not allowed to stay to eat and it says that no where. The seating is terrible and you're in a high traffic area no matter where you sit. You know something is wrong when other customers look unhappy while eating and that can be confirmed by the rude guy that told us that we can't stay and that if we do, we have to be at a 2 person table even though we had a dog with us that we would be leashing to a table and the 2 person seats dont have anything to leash to and are in a narrow walkway where the dog would be in the way. It was slow, there were no excuses to not be accommodating. Ill take my large order to Thurstons next time. Also, we went during low tide and I love the smell of low tide, but it was obscured by the smell of the garbage wafting in with the breezes.
