We recently stayed in one of the tent sites and had a great experience. Overall, we felt that other campers were quiet and respectful. The bathrooms were clean and showers were nice and hot. We were thankful to grab ice and wood from the office, one less thing to worry about! We had to miss one night of our reservation and the staff was very understanding and made it super easy for us to check in the next day. Great location, not far from Bar Harbor or Acadia - we're glad we chose Smuggler's Den over other campsites as they were much more out of the way and closer to loud highways. We will definitely stay here again!

Really great campground! This was our first time staying here and loved it. The sites are spacious (we did have a premium tent site, since we did a last-minute reservation), the restrooms and showers were clean.nThe kids enjoyed playing in the pool and the playground. We did have bikes with us, which were perfect for this campground and made the trips to the main bathroom a lot easier ud83dude01nThe location is great, too, as it's close to a lot of beautiful hiking trails.nWe look forward to coming again!

Been coming here for 30 yrs. Learned to swim and ride my bike when I was a wee lad. It's classy and quiet.nnAll the employees are absolutely incredible. Kind, polite, and generous.nnThe pool is great for a quick dip, or a few slippy slide runs.nnThey only sell softwood firewood, which is a tiny bummer. Yet there are so many hardwood sellers in the area it's not a problemnnIts the only campground I've ever stayed at with my family for 30 yrs. Of course my mom does all the booking... ud83dude09

Love this campground, pool, volleyball court, biking/long walk to a lake to swim in, close to park, well maintained, people who work there are friendly... We are definitely coming back and bringing friends, from Ohio.

Amazing stay! Small campground close enough to get to everything in 20 minutes. Well taken care of, taking Covid very seriously so camp store is closed to everything except ice and firewood. Found an amazing trail to run to the beach every morning. Pool is great, not too crowded as campers are moderating how many people are there at a time and coming back later if it's crowded. Could spend my summer in Maine easily.
