The Beacon Bar and Grill

Stopped in for a quick meal, 45 mins or less later we were back on the road. Prompt service and amazing food. Burger was cooked to order, garnished very well and the fries were amazing! Waitress was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu.

Couldn’t find a place in Bar Harbor, The Beacon did not disappoint. Fantastic lobster roll and shrimp dinner the fries were unbelievably delicious. Our waitress was excellent. Crab dip is to die for.

Best food and amazing people behind the scenes. There is always good music playing so you're instantly in a good mood! :)

My family and I haven't seen each other in months, so during their visit (yes they had their negative COVID-19 tests)we wanted to enjoy a nice lunch at a place that serves lobster (as a few of them had never had it before). We arrived and were taken to be seated promptly. I was confused as to why they had us waiting while another table was being cleaned. The waitress told us that they couldn't have more than 6 people at a table at a time due to the COVID-19 situation. I informed her that we were a family and asked if that made a difference. (We are a family of 7)We were told that she didn't make the rules and that someone in our party had to sit at another table. It was an unexpected inconvenience, but we managed to make the most of it (even though the other table was over our shoulders).nnThe whole time we were there we felt very unwelcome. Our waitress made us feel like our presence and every question about the menu was an annoyance and extremely burdensome. Another party asked to be moved because we were a little loud(we were trying to keep my 8 month old nephew entertained and he was laughing a little loud) and there was an undertoned comment made by the waitress to the couple. We are a mixed race family and I felt like this had a large part in the way we were treated! We respectfully wore our masks everywhere but the table and put them on when the waitress came to the table, and were very polite throughout our visit. The food was decent, but due to the way we were treated, I choose to spend my hard earned money elsewhere!

Fried pickles and clam chowder were a delicious way to start the meal. Hot buttered lobster roll with sweet potato fries were incredible. My wife’s nachos were amazing with tortilla chips that had to be homemade chips. Virginia was our server and she was extremely pleasant. Always greeted us with a smile and made sure we were taken care of. We will be back!
