An interesting city park featuring a forest that could probably use some forestry. Lots of downed trees.
Pretty for a fall walk
University Park is a two-block narrow strip of trees and paths, intended by the city mostly as a dog walk, but also a very beautiful and pleasant place to walk, especially when the park is fully green. There are small parking areas at both ends. The park actually extends between Yale St and Woodlawn Ave, twice as wide as is currently shown on Google Maps. By the way, the houses in the area are clean and beautiful.nnLast year a developer was given a zoning change so he can build a row of expensive double houses. If built, this development will destroy half of greater University Park and turn beautiful Harvard Path into a regular city street. Meanwhile, the perfect area for housing or stores nearby (behind Bruno's Restaurant) remains unused by its owner.
Great place for walking dogs through the trail.
