Such a magical place. Great time, every time.

Jaclyn Gunn...so far from the truth. Doesn't sound like you've ever been camping before honey, time to go back to your apartment in the city and put on your makeup. Janet and the rest of the crew at Steven Phillips are so accommodating and friendly. I've been coming back to this place every year and actually got married on one of the sites. Janet has been so sweet to my wife and girls over the years and we're always very excited to head up there every year. Everything is well maintained (wood, water and campsites) and an outhouse is an outhouse any way you look at it when you're camping. Thanks for all the memories and work you do guys!

Just wanted to jump on here and say Jaclyn Gunn couldn't be more wrong about this spot. If she did her research, she would know the preserve isn't some all inclusive resort campground. The point of this type of camping is to enjoy the scenery and escape the every day luxuries of modern society. Leaving a 1 star review because of your own ignorance to what you were getting into is beyond petty and selfish. Came here with my cuz a few years back and we had a blast. Every site I walked past looked great, plenty of room to set up camp and perfectly distanced from other sites. The office offered access to firewood, canoe rentals, and info on the area. Spent a whole week there and enjoyed every night while there. Beautiful sunsets and such a great clear spot to stargaze. Going back as my bachelor getaway this year.

Do not go there, it's terrible. I feared for my safety.

This place is amazing. I have been going with friends for the past several years. We decided to try it out in 2013 and all of us fell in love. It is now our summer tradition to make the 5-6 hr drive to Mooselookmeguntic to enjoy the seclusion and peace. This is campground is not for amateur campers. We tend to stay on the Western Shore which allows for even more peace and quiet. But you need some sort of boat or water craft to access the sites. There are drive in sites that are plenty secluded, but we just prefer to be MILES away from anything. The views are amazing, the fishing is great, and the lack of accommodations keeps us comiong back for more.
