Dickey's Barbecue Pit

Very good brisket. The bbq sauce was good; not too sweet, not too vinegary, not too much black pepper. It was a quick trip through the drive through that day, with friendly service. I plan to go back when I'm on that side of town and need to pick up some supper.

5 stars for this visit. Fast, friendly service - 4 months ago. Not so great now.nn12/26/2020 Update: Things have changed quite a bit since my last visit. Went on Christmas Eve. Ordered Okra without seasoning, and a chopped beef sandwich. While at the window I saw the girl that worked the window put a bunch of salt on the Okra. When she brought the order to the window I told her I saw her put salt on them and that is not what I ordered. So, she left my sandwich sitting right inside the window and put several orders of Okra in. She came back and asked if I wanted another side and I said no.nnI was really hungry and saw my sandwich sitting right inside the window and a line full of cars behind me. I wasn't told to move up - and I gladly would have done that. Instead, there was a standstill at the window while my Okra was cooking. I finally got my order and went on my way.nnWhen I got home I found out my chopped beef was sliced beef, the impression tonight was not a good one. I remember I wasn't sure about getting my debit card back, but got busy wrapping presents. After doing a thorough check of my purse and car I realized that I didn't have my debit card. As the next day was Christmas - I couldn't call them. Called today and sure enough they had my debit card.nn3 strikes on this trip with a delay at window because Okra wasn't right, sandwich wasn't what I ordered and my debit card wasn't returned to me. This may be my last visit here.

We ordered from there last night and it was horrible. To start when I got the food to my truck my wife noticed the barbecue sauce was everywhere in the bag. I went back in and asked how much would it be for me to buy some more a guy named Chris laughed and said we are low on sauce but I guess I will give you some more. His attitude was horrible. Then we get home and start taking everything out of the bag and my wife noticed one of the sides was not there. She called them and Chris again is the one that answered the phone. My wife was telling him that one of the side dishes was not there. Chris told her I checked the bag in front of your husband and everything was there. Guess what he did not check the bags contents in front of me all he did was check the name on the bag to make sure it was mine. He has a condescending attitude towards her. There is more to this but this would very long. I would not recommend this place and the guy Chris needs to learn customer services.

I just updated I was in there February 1 2021 at 11 am, I usually get a pound of beef eat a little there and take the rest back home. The beef brisket was so tough it wasn't good. Too bad they can't keep the consistency up. Stop going and maybe they'll buy better quality. beef.

Very good. My okra was hot and fresh.
