We are camp hosting till end of the season before they close up and we have to say this has been a wonderful experience, having all the families and kids enjoying the last bit of good weather and camp fire in the air makes ya feel at home. Plenty of nice places to walk and or ride your bike. The staff is very friendly. And you have to go over to the dinner on the barge and have a burger it is priced well for service. Sites are clean and generally level in some spots. Need at least a 30' power cable or extension if you are in a Large rig. Can accommodate 40' rigs but limited on spots. Since built in the 80s it was mostly for small pull behinds and car tent camping. But if your are in a 30' class A or smaller you will not have any problems finding a spot. They do take reservations on web site but plenty of walk in available all weekend long. Except for holidays better get there early. Over all we have loved our stay.

We enjoy bringing our camper here. Nice and peaceful. Make sure you bring plenty of hose and cord for the utility hookups as they can be farther away on some spots. It's close to a Dollar General in case we ever forget anything and close to a couple small restaurants in case we ever don't want to cook at the camper. We will always return here!

It is a quiet campground. There are 2 loops; the north loop is further away from the highway and has less traffic noise. Many of the spaces are just too short for modern travel trailers. The roads are in great shape, but the utilities can be VERY far away. At my space 78, it took all of my 2 30amp cords to reach the power box.

We visited while hurricane Laura visited so our experience was wet however the campgrounds were awesome, bathhouses were maintained well and staff was helpful and friendly!
