My experience with K&C:n1. Did not complete work they were paid to perform. A second reputable painter, at considerable expense, was hired to finish the job.n2. Without your knowledge or permission, the owner records conversations with you with a hidden cell phone presumably to use against you in a court of law if you are crazy enough to expect them to finish the job they were paid to do.n3. Changes the pricing after the job starts without consulting you then threatens you with a property lien if you don't agree.n4. Poor work habits. Paint spills and cigarette butts everywhere.nThere is more that space will not allow. Working with these people has been an ordeal. Never again with amateur operations like this. There are better painting contractors in the area.
In Sept/Oct 2018, I was new to Madison, Alabama. While purchasing paint from Gary at Madison Flooring and Paint, I asked for a professional painter recommendation. He quickly passed a business card to me with the information that this company (K &C Painting) had recently painted for him in his own home. He was very satisfied, therefore, he felt comfortable making the recommendation.nI called the owner’s number (Will Edge) that evening and was able to make an appointment for an estimate right away. While my project was several rooms of painting, I also asked if they removed popcorn ceilings. The owner said yes and actually gave a cost estimate for everything at this appointment, then made arrangements for a start date with a projection of how long it should take. Ultimately the project took longer than expected due to some employee issues, but the owner was very professional, always on time, cleaned up everyday, and made sure everything was to my satisfaction before declaring the project complete. The owner’s skill of painting was excellent, but I was MOST satisfied with the popcorn ceiling removal! Highly recommend!
