Chad and Jessica are the kindest most hospitable people I've ever met. We had originally planned on tent camping, and the weather at night was dipping down into 15⁰/20⁰. Chad offered us to stay in a cabin for no extra charge since it was open and a lot warmer than sleeping in a tent in that kind of weather. We were really thankful he let us! Jessica also cooked us some delicious food and had breakfast for us every morning :) . As for the campground, it has a really beautiful view and their goals for freedom hills as a community center are inspiring. They want to do community outreach offering climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, and even have a drive in theater. Thanks guys for an awesome time, I'm excited to see what this place looks like in the coming years!

I can't say enough about the hospitality and generosity of the Farley family (owners) of Freedom Hills Campground. Making online reservations was super easy, and they kept in touch to ensure they were present to greet our group, traveling from Florida. Tennessee had encountered several days of heavy rainfall, and Chad & Jessica Farley offered to change our plans of sleeping in our tents and invited us into the cabin to escape the thunderstorm and heavy rainfall. They even allowed us to use their kitchen to cook our dinner. As we talked to Chad & Jessica, we felt more like old friends than customers/campers. This is exactly the type of business that we like to support: small businesses with great ethics. The Farley family are extremely polite and show genuine concern for their guests. Chad has put a lot of hard work into working the land, and planning the campground. I can't even imagine the complexity of the individual pieces of this large puzzle, but I can guarantee the campground will be astonishing upon completion. I look forward to returning and exploring more of the natural features of the property (rock climbing, caves, the bluff over the Obed River, star gazing, and exploring the neighboring Catoosa Wildlife Management Area). If I lived closer, I would definitely volunteer to help work around the campground. Best of luck to Freedom Hills Campground. If I could leave a 10 Star Review, I would. Everyone in our group spoke highly of their stay. I look forward to visiting again in the near future.

Great experience, excellent host with nice amenities. I stayed in the main house cabin which consisted 3 bedrooms, one with a loft with double queen beds. A common area with Full bath, half bath and a separate kitchen where breakfast was served daily. Super comfortable beds in a nice clean log cabin. Perfect for a room or a large group. The Land is spread amongst the Obed River with most areas not disturbed. You will find world class hiking, wall climbing as some of the unknown boulders are now exposed to the public. The Obed river provides the perfect spot for kayaking as well as fishing. Seems like a great spot for a group small or large. Plenty of different types of accommodations.

The owners Jessica and Chad were very hospitable and treated my friends and I like family. They fed us food and drinks and made sure we were well accommodated the whole time. They were the most friendliest and generous hosts I have ever met, and they have an incredible mission for the campground. Highly recommend!

I’ve been a frequent visitor to the Obed for several years now, mostly for rock climbing, but also for the hiking and kayaking. I’ve traveled to many places across the country for my outdoor activities. I have never met people so dedicated to helping people and making sure they feel welcome and cared for the way that the Farley family has. This place is AMAZING, and the people who run it there are even more AMAZING! It’s a small operation, doing HUGE things. They offer free breakfast and WiFi. Their property is a backdoor access point for areas of the Obed that don’t get much traffic at all. Plus, they have TONS of boulders and cliff lines that are untouched by climbers scattered all over their property. Do yourself a favor, and get involved with this campground and the wonderful people that run it. They are doing absolutely wonderful things there. I found a new home there. Love this place. I’d like to add something else. My mother passed away two Christmas’ ago. I don’t have much family left, with the exception of my brother and my daughter. Ever since our mother passed, my brother and I have kind of stressed and struggled to do things for the holidays. Last year for Thanksgiving, I took my daughter out to Freedom Hills for the weekend, because, we really didn’t have anywhere to go for the holiday. Chad and his family cooked a huge Thanksgiving dinner and fed a whole bunch of strangers. Except they treated us like family. I’ll never forget the mashed potatoes, because they were homemade and tasted just the way that my mom used to make them. Forgive me for being sentimental, but it meant a lot to me and just thought I’d share. Thank you, Freedom Hills, for everything you do and continue to do!!!! Much loveud83eudd18❤ufe0f
