Ranger Russ was very informative. This park is for people who have an appreciation for history.nAmazingly, we were found a familiar name that turned out to be a relative that fought in the battle.

My spouse and I are huge history buffs so this was a great site for us. You can walk along the battle site and read all about the history of the area while imagining how it would have appeared back in the war. The cannon area was really interesting. Afterwards we headed to the memorial gardens, which are beautiful. It was again, a nice area to reflect on the history of the area. We ran into a very friendly ranger and spent a lot of time just walking around reading.
