May Electric

I work at a business park in Bluffton, SC. My boss asked me to find an electrician to help us improve our lighting quality. It just so happened that an electrician from May Electric was already working on the business park's lighting situation so I went out to ask him if he might just step inside and answer a few questions I had (mind you he is working right outside our office door.) He told me he would, but he left without stopping by. I saw him again later and again asked him if he would help me. He again informed me he would help but he left once more without helping me.nnSo I called the office. I spoke with Kate on the phone, who was short and unhelpful. She transferred me to an electrician named Jeremy who was even worst than Kate. He had no desire to answer my questions over the phone and at the end of the conversation he abruptly pushed me off the phone. Obviously, I was a bother to both of these employees and they had no intention of helping me unless they could charge me for it, which is not a problem. If they had been nicer I might have made an appointment.nnWhen you are in the customer service business your number one job is to be helpful and to make your client feel as if they are the most important person in the world. I don't know who is running this business, but they need to train their employees to be respectful, polite, and cooperative. I will never contact this company for business again.

We recently had several small(ish) projects done by May Electric. Mark came out to the house and took the time to look at all of the work and listen to exactly what I wanted. He also took the time to explain what could be done and how long it would take. Once all of our lights and fans had arrived, they immediately got started. Jeff and Jimmy handled all of the work and tackled some difficult issues without missing a step. They took the time to think through the problems so there was minimal damage to walls and ceilings. They also took great care inside the house and cleaned everything up after each day. The cost of the project was quite reasonable compared to other electrical work we had done during some earlier remodeling. I've been extremely pleased with everyone I've dealt with and the results. I highly recommend May Electric and will be using them again for our upcoming outside lighting project.

I had some minor problems to be corrected on a house that I was selling . They were prompt, professional, and fairly priced. I will definitely call on them again when I need an electrician.
