From the moment to walk in, you're met with charm and nostalgia. The staff is wonderful, the atmosphere is clean, charming, and welcoming-byt the real star of the show is the food. We had the crab hush puppies (visibly large pieces of crab meat inside), the shrimp and grits such managed to be light and rich all at the same time, and the steak and eggs which was cooked to perfection. We will return here many more times!
The only downside was it took awhile to get our food. Everything was great! Granddaughter is gluten-free and they had all she needed. I'm not great with waiting so got a glass of wine and all was well with me. They had frozen meals that we might come back for another time.
Wow, absolutely delicious breakfast... best I’ve had in Beaufort so far. The server was very nice, and I had no issue combining the salmon and veggie omelets to make a custom one (asparagus, red bell peppers, spring onions, and goat cheese- highly recommend it!). The skillet potatoes and bacon were cooked to perfection, and some of the best we’ve eaten.
I was very disappointed with the wait for two sandwiches. It took 40 minutes for us before we asked the waitress where our food was at. She didn't bother to keep us informed at all. I did enjoy the food just wish it didn't take 40 minutes for two club sandwiches!
Delicious brunch and great choices!! I'm going to have to go back at least four more times to try everything I want!! Salmon and Eggs was a delicious meal. The cheddar biscuits were dynamite!
