Polston Tax Resolution & Accounting

Polston is absolutely the worse company to use for Tax relief. If you need someone to help you with IRS problem pick any company but Polston. They will not return calls or emails and don’t assume they are working with the IRS on your behalf. The only time you will hear from them is if they need something from you. i.e. W2,1099 or a payment. Outside of that you wont get any responsesnWe spent 2 years with them having them help us and then we decided to sell our home. When we got to closing we found out there was a Fed tax Lien on the property and we ended up paying all the taxes we owed anyhow. Polston did nothing to stop the tax lien. And we sent the IRS letter and many many emails to make sure they were addressing it. They didn’t , so basically we could have saved the money we spent with Polston and just dealt with the IRS ourselves.nIf I can save one person from making the mistake we did by hiring Polston for you tax attorneys then this review was worth spending the time to write it up. Do yourself a favor and find a more reputable company to handle your Tax Problems.nnThis must be their standard response to negative reviews. They dont know who you are. Dianne White IS the main reason we are still with this company. She is always quick to respond, she is extremely helpful, and she is so informative. Dianne always explains things in a way that I can understand and never makes me feel bad for not understanding something the first time. She goes above and beyond to make sure that I am properly informed and that I am comfortable with the information she has given me. She is also very, very patient! I would be lost without her, truly.

I wish I had read others reviews on here along with reading the complaints on the BBB site. Hiring these scam artists is definitely the worst decision I’ve ever made. After waiting over six months to get my past tax returns completed with little to no communication, I found out that the 6000 dollars I paid them only covered getting those four returns completed. I was then told that they needed 17k to continue representing me with the IRS. Apparently there’s some language in the contract stating this they gloss over initially. I have had plenty of highly qualified CPA’s do my taxes over the years and never had it come to 1500 dollars per return. Of course trying to get any type of documentation showing the hours and rate for those hours won’t happen. I am now on my way to another attorney to start over. This one has only positive reviews and charges a fair flat rate with no hidden fees like Polston. This is definitely one of the guys that give reputable lawyers and firms a bad namennAfter publishing this review I decided Polston should use the person who responds to these reviews along with the lady who keeps emailing me asking if I want to come in an talk to them about my returns and give them more money. Because the (scammer) I mean case strategist Rachel Bright I initially met with still has given me a billing summary of how this firm has spent any where near enough hours on my case to justify what I paid them upfront. They answer reviews immediately basically asking for an email because they can’t figure out who I am. I sent them that information and never heard a word. But suddenly they have such a lack of integrity I am getting emails asking me to make another appointment so they can figure out how to get more money out of me. How about the person who checks your reviews justifies what you have already stolen before you ask for more.

We hired Polston to help us with our tax situation in December 2019. They were excellent in the first month. But then I thought we were protected because they were working with the IRS to help resolve our issue. In February I received my SS check to be garnished. I haven’t received any correspondence from them since March 2020 which I have sent emails asking what is going on and no answer. They continue to receive their retaining money each month of $600 and that is money that could have been used to pay the United States Treasury if they were actually working on our issue. I hate giving bad reviews but I’m doing it because these people only want your money and never want to update you on your situation.
