We engaged Hood and Associates to evaluate our current financial performance and got to work with Paul Hood himself. He kind of did a 360° evaluation on our goals, our age, desired retirement age, and our desired retirement income levels. He also brought an outside investment avenue to our attention, and it was something we were completely unaware of and lined right up with our retirement strategy, only it was better because of the add-on benefits it provided! Furthermore, based on the questions we had He recommended a different book for each topic we were curious about exploring; one example of which was the mindset difference between being debt-free and using debt as a tool, and this was a foreign concept for us.nnOutside of working with Paul, anytime we interacted with one of his team members either on the phone or via email or even in person, they were very accommodating to all of our questions, willing to go into lengthy explanations, and extremely friendly and pleasant to work with. No question was ever received as being a dumb question, and they were never bothered by our lack of knowledge about the world of tax and finances.
