AHB has been our bank since we moved here 20 years ago and we've had no problems with them. Recently, though, AHB changed their debit cards to Transfund/Mastercard, and did not alert checking account holders that it also increased the cost of banking. We now pay $4/month, an increase of $1. That's $48/year for a basic checking account! You'd never know unless you watch your statements. I would change to a different bank with free checking, but AHB is the most convenient for me.

Best Bank in the Country!
Years of dealing with this bank has proven to me that they are the most incompetent financial organization that has ever existed.nnIf you travel, do not use them. If you close your accounts expect a bill. You will recieve no help from the staff, and their online system is a complete joke of a financial system.nnYour records are only available to you for a 6 month period. After that you better have backups during tax season, because they remove everythingfrom their server.nnTerrible, terrible bank.
