On July 24th, 2020, my friends and I came to play badminton outside the building, because it has the roof to prevent the wind. However, we were told to leave because the gym is now using as the place for testing COVID-19, and the staff didn't want us to play outside. She even said that the gym is not design for us play badminton.We didn't know because there was no signs in front of the driveway or building. As well as no information on the website for us to acknowledge that. What does not make sense is Griffin center is a public place, if any organizations use it as private event or important event, why there are no signs, security for people to know. For best experience, please pull up the signs for us to know that the center is now a testing place, not an open facility for residents to enjoy their play time so that there won't be any confusion.

Great place, but all community rec centers (visited in area) do not seem to be what they were when I was coming up as a kid. I feel maybe if they went back to that early 70's foundation (more adults in them these days than kids) maybe our youth can come together & learn to live together than apart.

I've been working out here for the past couple years now. Great staff very friendly and helpful. Gym equipment is very sturdy and in good condition! Highly recommend the Griffin Rec Center!

Perfect for a Budget and basic Gym. Have Barbells, Squat Machine and Dumbbells upto 110 lbs.
