I very much enjoyed meeting and working with Bill Mills on a fairly difficult and complicated matter. He showed a tremendous amount of sensitivity, understanding, compassion and patience during the times that we really needed it. Bill was very knowledgeable, confident, and resourceful. Bill had been recommended to me by a close friend who teaches at Duke law school and I now know why. Bill is great at the law, but is just as good if not better at guiding me through the process and being a great guy. I never felt pressured or pushed - he was a great sounding board for all the emotions that are part and parcel of going through a civil case. I had a great outcome in the case, but just as importantly, the case didn't take a huge toll of me personally. I'm really lucky that someone I trusted recommended Bill. I hope no one I'm close to will ever be in a civil case, but if they are, Bill will be our first phone call.
